The current Belarus coat of arms is actually an emblem because it is not designed according to the rules on heraldry. Through a referdum, it replaced the Pahonia arms in 1995. It depicts an outline of the map of the country set against rays of sunshine.
The Belarus Coat of Arms also is bordered by ribbons with the nation’s colors and wheat ears. A star is located at the top. The arms as a whole may represent faith, labor, and justice.
