This is the East Timor coat of arms that was used from 2002 to 2007. It depicted the National Council of Timorese Resistance’s shield, which featured two crossed swords called Suriks. Fourteen rays extended outward from behind the shield. The East Timor coat of arms was surrounded by a blue circle. A red banner at the bottom has words that mean “Honour, Homeland, and People”.
