The Egypt coat of arms is a golden eagle known as the Eagle of Saladin. It has black wings and holds a scroll that says “Arab Republic of Egypt” in Arabic letters.
The shield located on the eagle’s breast features the colors of the nation: white, red, and black. The Egypt coat of arms was slightly different in earlier on, sometimes depicted as a golden hawk, and sometimes depicted with two green stars. Some people believe that the eagle was found on the wall of citadel of Cairo, which was built by Saladin.
