The Georgia coat of arms was officially adopted on October 1st, 2004. It is somewhat based on the house of Bagrationi’s royal arms. It features two lions holding a red shield. Inside the shield, St. George is drawn riding a horse and slaying a dragon. A crown is located at the top. The Georgia coat of arms also features a banner at the bottom with the words “Strength is in Unity” written in Mkhedruli script.
