The Hong Kong emblem is similar to the nation’s flag. It was first used in July of 1997. It features a white circle, inside of which is written the official name of the country in Chinese and English. The inside is a red circle with a Bauhinia blakeana flower colored in white. It represents harmony and has five petals. The Hong Kong emblem is technically not a coat of arms.
