The Indian emblem is similar to the Lion Capital of Ashoka. It features three lions standing back to back. A frieze is located beneath and contains the Dharma Chakra. A bull and horse are located to the right and left. A motto is written below, which in English means “Truth Alone Triumphs”. The Indian emblem was adopted on January 26th, 1950.
