The Kenyan coat of arms features two lions support a shield and also holding Maasai spears. The shield contains the colors red, black, green, and white. The red section contains a rooster with an axe, which symbolizes prosperity and life.

The shield on the Kenya coat of arms stand upon Mount Kenya, around which several agricultural produce are depicted, including pineapples, maize, tea, coffee, and sisal.

The colors in the Kenyan coat of arms are symbolic in the following manner: white is for unity/peace, green is for agriculture, black is for the people, and red is for blood shed. The word harambee is located at the bottom, which is Swahili for “pull together”.
