The Macau flag is set on a green background and has the ratio 2:3. It features a white lotus flower above a Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge. Above the flower, there are five yellow stars, which symbolize the entities relationship with the mother country of China.

The Macau flag used to just be the flag of Portugal, until Portugal handed the entity over to China in 1999. In 1993, there were several other proposes designs. Macau is a special administrative region of China.

The largest Parish is Freguesia de Nossa Senhora de Fátima. The Macau flag belongs to an entity whose national anthem or song is titled “March of the Volunteers”. The national motto is “All for country, for glory, and the flag!"”. The currency is the Pataca.
