The Nauru Coat of Arms
The Nauru coat of arms went into popular use during the 1907’s, but was first adopted in 1968. The upper portion of the shield features the symbol of phosphorus on a woven background. The lower part of the shield shows a frigatebird and calophyllum flowers. The Nauru coat of arms is encompassed by tribal gear that includes shark teeth, rope, feathers, and palm leaves.
