The Netherland Antilles coat of arms features a yellow shield outlined in red. It has five blue stars within it, which represent the five islands that make up the group. A Dutch sovereign crown is located at top. A yellow banner at the bottom of the Netherland Antilles coat of arms reads “Libertate Unanimus”, which means “United in Freedom”.
The current version was adopted in 1986. However, a similar version of the Netherland Antilles coat of arms had been used since 1964.
