The Nicaraguan Coat of Arms
The Nicaraguan coat of arms depicts a triangle, which shows a rainbow (for peace) and five volcanoes (to show unity between five Central American countries). It also has a Phrygian cap, which is symbolic of liberty. The triangle itself stands for equality. The Nicaraguan coat of arms was originally created in 1823, but reached its current form in 1999.
