The Palestine Flag
The Palestine flag was designed during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire. It was created by Sharif Hussein in 1916. In the following year, it was used as the flag of Arab nationalism. In 1948, it became the banner of the Palestinian people. It is red, green, white, and black.
The Palestine flag consists of three horizontal bands of equal length. They are black, white, and green. A red triangle is positioned on the left side of the flag. The banner is widely popular among Palestinians around the world, as well as people who support them.
The three bands represent the Fatimid, Umayyad, Abbasid, and dynasties. The red triangle symbolizes the Hashemite dynasty. The Palestine flag was adopted by the PLO in 1964. The political entity has been recognized by some nations, but not by others.
The largest city and capital in the country is Muscat. The Palestine flag belongs to a nation whose national anthem or song is “Nashid as-Salaam as-Sultani”. No national motto exists. The currency is called the Rial.
