The Serbian coat of arms was adopted in 2004. However, it was also used in 1882 by the Obrenovic dynasty. It features a white bicephalic eagle on a red shield. This is an insignia of the House of Nemanjic. A cape is featured in the background. There is also a crown with a cross on top.
Two golden fleurs-de-lys are located below the eagle’s claws. The Serbian coat of arms features a crown even though the nation is a republic.
