The Slovenian coat of arms depicts Mount Triglav in white on a blue shield with a red border. Two wavy lines run through the mountain, which represent the sea and rivers. Three yellow stars are located above the mountain. They are from the counts of Celje’s coats of arms.
When the nation was under Soviet control, it used a similar design, but it contained the red star of Communism. The current version of the Slovenian coat of arms was designed by Marko Pogacnik.
