The Solomon Islands flag was officially adopted in 1977 on November 18th. Sunshine is symbolized by the color yellow. Blue represents the ocean. Green stands for the land. The civil and naval ensign are different, but still contain the main design in the upper left corner.
The capital in the country is Honiara, which is also the largest city. The Solomon Islands flag belongs to a country whose national motto is “To Lead is to Serve”. The national anthem is “God Save Our Solomon Islands”. The royal anthem is “God Save the Queen”.
