The South Georgia Coat of Arms
The South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands coat of arms was adopted in 1985. It features a seal and a penguin holding a shield. The shield depicts a golden lion (which represents England). The background of the shield is made up of light blue and white estoiles, which were taken from the coat of arms of James Cook. He discovered the islands.
