The St. Helena coat of arms was adopted on January 30, 1984. The top part of the shield features a Wirebird on a yellow background. The bottom part depicts a sailing ship on the ocean, with island mountains behind it. There is a woman holding a cross and a flower on the top of the St. Helena coat of arms. This is Helena of Constantinople.
