The Vatican coat of arms or coat of arms of the Holy See, is set on a red shield. It features the emblem of the Papacy, which are two crossed keys.

These silver and golden keys represent the keys to Heaven given to St. Peter. The triple crown at the top, or tiara, symbolizes Sacred Orders, Magisterium, and Jurisdiction. The adorning cross at the top of the Vatican coat of arms stands for Jesus Christ’s crucifixion.
